Building Stronger Masjid Teams, Create Sharper Impact

We recently had the honor of working with the Islamic Association of Raleigh through a series of transformative workshops focused on program planning and design, leading and managing volunteers, and cultivating community leadership mindsets. Together, we explored strategies for conflict resolution, effective communication, and volunteer recruitment, management, and engagement.

It was powerful to watch a team lean into growth—sharpening their skills, strengthening their relationships, and reimagining how they serve their community with even greater heart and impact. We’re proud to support leaders who are building not just programs, but lasting change.

Testimonials

Personally, I’ve seen positive changes in a few of our staff members, including myself. There’s been a noticeable increase in positivity, and employees are consistently working hard to maintain a positive environment for themselves and others.

One of the highlights of the training was the team-building exercises. They were not only fun but also highly effective in reinforcing the lessons we were learning. These activities allowed us to apply concepts in real time, fostering better collaboration and communication within our team. The balance between learning and hands-on experience made the training both enjoyable and impactful.

Oaktree Institute's training was an invaluable experience as a new employee. It provided a great opportunity to understand how the organization operates, its challenges, learn more about the staff, and see where I fit into the whole puzzle. The session was delivered in an engaging and interactive manner that fostered solutions and honesty to the conversation about our organization
