THE CHALLENGE

For an organization like HHRD, Ramadan is not just a fundraising period. It is the most important giving season of the year, a moment when donor generosity, organizational readiness, and campaign execution must all come together seamlessly. As HHRD looked ahead to Ramadan 2026, leadership recognized an opportunity to move beyond planning and into disciplined, effective execution. The goal was clear: sharpen internal alignment, strengthen the team’s campaign readiness, and ensure that the organization’s fundraising potential was fully realized during its highest-stakes season.

OUR APPROACH

Oaktree Institute partnered with Helping Hands through a focused, high-impact consultation engagement on Major Gifts strategy led by expert, Nadeem Riaz. The work was structured to deliver results quickly and practically.

The engagement began with a thorough Diagnosis and Discovery process, including a comprehensive review of HHRD’s current campaign goals and existing and previous goals to identify opportunities and establish clear baseline metrics. From there, our team facilitated a Leadership Strategy Session with senior leaders designed to align the team on strategic priorities and finalize a concrete campaign execution plan.

To support the team through implementation, Oaktree also provided flexible coaching support in the form of one-on-one sessions or group coaching, so that staff could troubleshoot in real time and keep execution on track as the campaign unfolded.

THE IMPACT

Through this engagement, HHRD’s leadership entered Ramadan 2026 with greater clarity, alignment, and a shared execution plan with accountability built in. The team came away with practical tools and frameworks for donor engagement, stronger internal capacity for campaign management, and a foundation for more disciplined, sustainable fundraising well beyond Ramadan.
